Matunga’s ready-to-use batter for idli/dosa, commonly known as khira, was first started in May 2002 in a small setup in Western Mumbai.We understood that in a city like Mumbai, where people had a very hectic life and because of their busy schedule, they had to suppress their craving for South Indian meals which were considered very time-consuming to make in those days. This is why we thought of manufacturing & selling ready-to-use batter so people can relish the South Indian delicacies at home without any hassles.
Matunga’s was the first company to retail wet Idli/Dosa batter to leading stores in Mumbai.
Now our batter is successfully available in most of the leading stores in Mumbai & is successfully home delivered to many areas in Thane & Mulund.

It’s hassle-free & convenient, especially for working women. It is mildly salted…just store & use whenever you want! The best part, it can be stored in the refrigerator below 8 degree Celcius, for upto 15 days & still would give you the same fresh taste. So you can stock it up! Ideal for kid’s parties, birthday parties, kitty parties & just any celebrations! We take bulk orders for parties, caterings, & hotels as well.

Western Mumbai’s favourite brand “Matunga’s” ready to use wet batter/Khira for Idli, Dosa, Uttappam & White Dhokla is available at most of the leading stores in Mumbai.
It is successfully home delivered to most of the areas in Thane & Mulund. We also deliver ready-to-use Meduvada batter currently only on order basis & not available for retail sale.
